How pity works
When does soft pity start?
Around pull 66. Up to pull 65, each pull has the base 0.8% 5★ rate. From pull 66 the rate rises by about 4 points a pull, then by about 8 points a pull from pull 71, and pull 80 is always a 5★. Kuro only publishes the 0.8% base rate, the 1.8% average rate with pity included and the 80-pull guarantee; the rates in the table are based on community statistics.

How does the 50/50 work?
On a featured Resonator banner, each 5★ has a 50% chance to be the featured Resonator. If you lose the 50/50, your next 5★ is guaranteed to be featured, and you get 30 extra Afterglow Coral.
Does pity or the guarantee carry over?
Pity does. All featured Resonator banners share one count until you get a 5★, including both phases of a version and banners running at the same time. Players report that the guarantee from a lost 50/50 also carries over to the next featured banner; Kuro's announcements don't say whether it carries over or expires.
Do weapon banners have a 50/50?
No. Every 5★ from a featured weapon banner is the featured weapon, by pull 80 at the latest. Weapon pity is counted separately from Resonator pity and carries over between weapon banners.
How does 4★ pity work?
You get at least one 4★ or higher every 10 pulls. Each 4★ has a 50% chance to be a featured one; if it isn't, the next 4★ is guaranteed to be featured.
How much Astrite to guarantee the featured Resonator?
From zero pity: 160 pulls, or 25,600 Astrite. If you're guaranteed after a lost 50/50: 80 pulls, or 12,800 Astrite. The in-game shop sells a Radiant Tide for 160 Astrite. Subtract the pulls you've made since your last 5★.
What can Afterglow Coral buy?
Players report that the Coral shop sells a Radiant Tide or a Forging Tide for 8 Afterglow Coral; check the shop in game for prices and limits. 4★ and 5★ pulls award Afterglow Coral. Oscillated Coral, from 3★ weapons, has its own shop: what it sells and how many are shown in game and refresh each version.
What about collab, Reverb and Standard banners?
Each keeps its own pity, separate from the featured Resonator and weapon banners. The calculator covers the featured Resonator and weapon banners.

How many pulls does the featured Resonator take on average?
About 81 pulls from zero pity, or about 54 if you're guaranteed. These are estimates based on community statistics; the most it can take is 160 and 80 pulls.
Do Standard banner pulls count toward featured pity?
No. The Standard Resonator and Standard Weapon banners each keep their own count, and so do the beginner banners.
Does pity reset after a 5★?
Yes. The count starts again from zero after every 5★. After you get the featured Resonator, your next 5★ is a 50/50 again.
